Masterfully handmade Byzantine oil lamps, the kind you find only in monasteries and churches all over Greece and not in private homes.
They are genuine ecclesiastical items, handmade of gold plated brass.
Traditionally these lamps hang in the church and burn in front of icons of Saints keeping their spirit alive. Under each oil lamp hangs a small two headed eagle, the symbol of the Byzantine empire.
All lamps come with a pack of special wicks. The chains have a standard length of 45 cm (18 in.). |
