Poseidon of Artemision. Bust of the famous statue which represents Poseidon brandishing the trident with his raised right hand. It is an original work of a great sculptor, possibly of Kalamis. It was raised from the sea in the 1920's, off the cape Artemision, in north Euboea.
Made of bonded marble and coated with a special bronze patina.
