This krater features Hercules, Iole and others in the house of Eurytos. Hercules dines with Eurytos and his sons, waited upon by Iole. The symposium, where diners recline on couches, was the traditional form for banquets in Greece, a custom borrowed from the East. The inscriptions are in the Corinthian alphabet.End of 7th cent. BC.
