Cretan amphora

Cretan amphora

Exact museum reproduction of a fine ancient Greek Minoan Amphora.(more information on Minoan pottery...)

Our Greek pottery items are handmade in Greece in a small family workshop using natural quality materials, superb craftsmanship and attention to detail. They are licensed and modeled after museum pieces from all over the world and bear the lead seal of authenticity.

This amphora features a squid design in the marine style. In this style, the tendency to zoning is dropped and a new repertoire of sea-creatures is introduced. Corals, seaweed and sponges are spread all over the vase. It was one of the most successful styles of Cretan art.About 1500-1400 BC. National Archaeological Museum, Athens.

We take extra care in safely packing our pottery items to ensure safe delivery anywhere in the world. All our shipments are insured.
