A beautiful Greek Orthodox icon of the Niptir, handmade & hand painted by an expert Greek hagiographer.
John 13:3-17. He rose from supper and took off his outer garments. He took a towel and tied it around His waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and dry them with the towel around his waist. A reminder to humbly love and serve each other.
Made using traditional materials (selected aged timber frames, egg tempera, 24K gold leaf, natural powder paint and varnishes) and old techniques. It is an exact reproduction of an antique Byzantine masterpiece.
The icon bears the artist's signature on the front and the certificate of authenticity on the back.
We can have any image or Christian scene hand made on commission. Please take a look at an indicative list of additional icons
