Elaborate reproductions of two ancient Greek reliefs depicting the Battle of the Amazons.
The Amazons are wild, barbaric warrior women who live near the Black Sea in Scythia. Their Queen Hippolyta has a gorgeous belt that Eurystheus' daughter desires. Hippolyta has already decided to give the girl the belt when the goddess Hera spreads the rumor that Hercules wants to abduct Hippolyta in order to obtain the belt. It comes down to a fight between Hercules and the Amazons. In close combat with Hippolytes, Hercules manages to kill Hippolyta and retrieves the belt.
