A beautiful Greek Orthodox icon of Jesus & Mary Magdalene in the Garden, handmade & hand painted by an expert Greek hagiographer.

The icon is known as “Mi mou aptou” or “Noli me Tangere” (“Don’t touch me”).

According to John 20:17, this was Jesus’ response to Mary Magdalene right after he confronts her just outside his tomb after his resurrection. Mary Magdalene was the first person to whom Jesus showed himself alive after his resurrection.

Made using traditional materials (selected aged timber frames, egg tempera, 24K gold leaf, natural powder paint and varnishes) and old techniques. It is an exact reproduction of an antique Byzantine masterpiece.

The icon bears the artist’s signature on the front and the certificate of authenticity on the back.
