Exact museum reproduction of a fine ancient Greek Mycenean Krater.
Our Greek pottery items are handmade in Greece in a small family
workshop using natural quality materials, superb craftsmanship and
attention to detail. They are licensed and modeled after museum
pieces from all over the world and bear the lead seal of authenticity.
This krater is also known as “The Vase of the Warriors”. It was discovered by Erich Schliemann in 1876 in a house in the Acropolis of Mycenae. Ten fully armed warriors march out to war. Tied to their spears are bags, probably their day’s rations. A woman raises her arm in farewell to them.
