Description
A rare Mycenaean short sword inspired by the great warrior culture of Late Bronze Age Greece, dating to the legendary age traditionally associated with the Trojan War. Its leaf-shaped blade and elegant hilt reflect the craftsmanship and martial character of the Mycenaean world — an era immortalized in Homeric epic, when kings and seafarers sailed across the Aegean in search of glory, conquest, and immortality through song.
Weapons of this kind were carried by nobles, captains, and elite warriors of the Achaean kingdoms. One cannot look upon a blade such as this without imagining the age of Mycenae, Pylos, and Ithaca itself — the world of cunning Odysseus, whose sword may once have rested at his side as he journeyed toward Troy and, years later, toward home.
The sword comes with an optional black marble base stand.
