The statue represents Poseidon brandishing the trident with his raised right hand (find out more about Poseidon…)
It is an original work of a great sculptor, possibly of Kalamis and was raised from the sea in the 1920’s, off the cape Artemision, in north Euboea.
Dated to ca. 460 B.C., National Archaeological Museum of Athens.

Beautiful replica. The proportions, posture, and details are on point. The material is genuine bronze (aged style).
After comparing a few sites, I found out that Hellenic-Art works together with one of the oldest art-replica workshops in Greece, which also collaborates with the Ministry of Culture (ODAP) to supply Greek museums. Moreover, neither the museum where the original Artemision Bronze is exhibited (the National Archaeological Museum in Athens) nor the Hellenic Heritage Store (the e-shop managed by the ODAP) offers a replica of this iconic statue, making this bronze the best option I could find online as a foreign buyer.
