St. Alexander of Constantinople, the first bishop of Constantinople having been the bishop of the city of Byzantium when the name of the city was changed to Constantinople.
Alexander participated in the First Ecumenical Council at Nicea and fought against the Arian heresy. His feast day is August 30.
Made of 950o proof silver on a selected timber frame with the painted parts of the icon painted by hand. Exact reproduction of an antique Byzantine masterpiece.
