A beautiful Greek Orthodox icon of St. Alexios of Rome.
Saint Alexios of Rome was a fourth-century monk who lived in anonymity and is known for his dedication to Christ. Saint Alexios is well known to the region of north Peloponnese because of the honorable skull of the Saint which is kept in the monastery of Agia Lavra. Churches dedicated to St. Alexius are found in Aigio and Patras.
His feast day is celebrated on March 17.
