This is an exact reproduction of an antique Byzantine icon of St. John the Baptist. A remarkable work of the Cretan School, dated to the 17th century, preserved in one of the Monasteries of Mt. Athos in Northern Greece.
The icon is handmade to order, it bears the Seal of Authenticity on the back and is signed and numbered by the artist.
