A beautiful Greek Orthodox of St. Stylianos, handmade & hand painted by an expert Greek hagiographer.
Saint Stylianos was born during the 6th century in Adrianopolis in the province of Paphlagonia into a very wealthy family. At a young age, Stylianos joined the hermits of the desert with a view toward cleansing his soul through a period of meditation and prayer.
Stylianos is the patron saint of children yet to be born.
Made using traditional materials (selected aged timber frames, egg tempera, 24K gold leaf, natural powder paint and varnishes) and old techniques, this icon is an exact reproduction of an antique Byzantine masterpiece.
The icon bears the artist’s signature on the front and the seal of authenticity on the back.
