An exquisite Greek Orthodox Icon of St. Tatiana of Rome, handmade & handpainted by an expert Greek hagiographer.
Saint Tatiana of Rome was a Christian martyr in 3rd-century Rome during the reign of Emperor Alexander Severus. She was the daughter of a Roman civil servant who was secretly Christian and who raised his daughter in the faith. She later became a deaconess in the church.
Tatiana is venerate as a saint and her feast day is on January 25.
Made using traditional materials (selected aged timber frames, egg tempera, 24K gold leaf, natural powder paint and varnishes) and old techniques, this icon is an exact reproduction of an antique Byzantine masterpiece.
The icon bears the artist’s signature on the front and the seal of authenticity on the back.
We can have any image or Christian scene hand made on commission. Please take a look at an indicative list of additional icons available, or
