St. Uriel the Archangel

A beautiful Greek Orthodox icon of St. Uriel the Archangel, handmade & hand painted by an expert Greek hagiographer.

Archangel Uriel is known as the angel of wisdom. His name means “God is my light.”.

People sometimes ask for Uriel’s help to: seek God’s will before making decisions, come up with fresh creative ideas, learn new information, solve problems, resolve conflicts, let go of destructive emotions such
as anxiety and anger that can prevent them from discerning wisdom, and recognize dangerous situations so they can try to avoid them.

Made using traditional materials (selected aged timber frames, egg tempera, 24K gold leaf, natural powder paint and varnishes) and old techniques, this icon is an exact reproduction of an antique Byzantine masterpiece.

The icon bears the artist’s signature on the front and the seal of authenticity on the back.

We can have any image or Christian scene hand made on commission. Please take a look at an indicative list of additional icons available, or contact us for more information.
