An exquisite silver Greek Orthodox icon of Theotokos Glykophilousa
depicting the Virgin Mary caressing her son, so that they appear to be kissing.

Virgin Mary appears sad, seemingly contemplating his coming Passion.
The representation from the Russian School of the 18th Century shows very
pronounced characteristics of the Virgin Mother.

Made of 950o proof silver and 24k gold on a selected timber frame with the
painted parts of the icon painted by hand and adorned with precious Swarovski
crystals. Exact reproduction of an antique Byzantine masterpiece.
