“Kardiotissa” is one of the hundreds of names we use for the Most Holy Theotokos to describe her. This word comes from the Greek word “kardia” that means heart, because she’s holding Jesus next to her heart.

Made of 950o proof silver and 24k gold on a selected timber frame with the painted parts of the icon painted by hand. Exact reproduction of an antique Byzantine masterpiece.
