An exquisite silver Greek Orthodox icon of Theotokos Prodromitissa.

The Skete of the Holy Forerunner, also known as the Romanian Skete, which is administratively affiliated with the monastery of the Great Lavra, houses the holy icon of the Virgin Mary of the Forerunner. It is one of the miraculous icons of the Theotokos on Mount Athos.

Made of 950o proof silver and 24k gold on a selected timber frame with the painted parts of the icon painted by hand. Exact reproduction of the antique Byzantine masterpiece.
