This amphora shows two maenads approaching Dionysus with gifts of a hare and a stag. Dionysus, holding a kantharos, greets them. (find out more about Dionysus…)
On the other side Athena (find out more about Athena…) with helmet and spear and wearing the aegis over her shoulder faces Poseidon (find out more about Poseidon…) who holds his trident in front of him.
