Exact museum reproduction of a fine ancient Greek black figured
Oinochoe. (more information on Black figure pottery…)
Our Greek pottery items are handmade in Greece in a small family
workshop using natural quality materials, superb craftsmanship and
attention to detail. They are licensed and modeled after museum
pieces from all over the world and bear the lead seal of authenticity.
This oinochoe features Hercules being introduced to Olympus.
On the left Poseidon, trident in hand watches the scene while in front
of him Hermes makes a gesture of welcome. Then follows Athena
carrying a shield with a large owl on it. On the right the hero has his
sword, bow and his arrows in the quiver, which he carries on his back.
